Frequently Asked Questions
What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care is a model of primary care in which patients pay a flat monthly fee to their practitioner in exchange for primary care services. It is designed with the intention of human-scale and high-value care - your practitioner has the time and availability to provide you with accessible health care of the highest integrity. Your healthcare dollars go farther in this model than the typical fee-for-service model, and patients tend to experience significant cost-savings over the longterm.
What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine is a medically-accredited holistic framework that seeks to find the root cause of a patient’s concerns, rather than just applying a band-aid fix. Functional Medicine is highly-personalized, taking into account a patient’s history, environment, and genetic predispositions. It utilizes the cutting-edge testing, while also favoring nutritional, supplemental, herbal and mind-body approaches to healing. It is based in the latest and safest evidence, and supports all conventional medical practices.
